Shallow Survey 2018 will take place in St. John's, Newfoundland, the most easterly point in North America.

Newfoundland has its  very own time zone. In Canada, the sun rises first on Newfoundland and Labrador. It is the closest province to Europe, and it is the youngest – (and coolest) – province in Canada, home to the oldest street in North America, St. John's has been welcoming adventurers from all corners of the world for over 500 years.

Melded with culture, history, and personality, St. John's has survived two World Wars, five centuries, countless hardships and triumphs. It's become a rare, old city full of character, experience and charisma, with a contemporary, sophisticated edge. A photographer's dream, you can wander down the narrow, crisscrossing streets carved by horse and carriage over 100 years ago and take in the colourful jellybean row houses wedged together in every space lining the sides of steep hills and hidden alleyways, or make your way to the coastline and take in the rugged, but beautiful coastline and unique harbour - there is always something to see in St. John's, Newfoundland.

The host hotel and venue for Shallow Survey 2018 is The Delta Hotel St. John's. Take in the city from your guest room, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, complimentary Wi-Fi, a spacious bathroom, room service and cozy Sanctuary beds.
